The department of Economics was established in 2004. General Economics was introduced in the year 2004. While Economics as special subject was started in 2013. In addition to this under Pune University, the department offers conventional courses at UG level. The UG courses are run as per the Pune University norms.

The department offers a degree course (B.A. In Economics) at undergraduate level. The students can choose Economics as a special subject in the second year of the UG course.

The continuous evaluation method through tests tutorial, group discussion, students seminars for the internal assessment of the students. Research activities in the department are enhanced in the recent past year. All the teachers are involved in the research activities. One of the faculty members of the department has SET qualified.

The department of English is established in 2004. English is teach at Special Level. There are two faculty members teaching English in the department. The department carries activities like Special guidance for slow Learners in English. Guest lectures are arranged frequently. Lectures for competitive exams are conducted by the department.

The Department of Geography is one of the important Department in Arts, Commerce and Science College, Alkuti .Geography of the under graduate level was given affiliation by the government in 2004. While the department of geography is establish in the year 2005-06. The first batch of the under graduate was passed out in 2007. The department is having the essential infrastructure facilities like laboratory, Department staffroom, teaching aids like Maps, Models and surveying instrument etc.

The department offers a degree course (B.A. In Hindi) at undergraduate level. The students can choose Hindi as a special subject in the second year of the UG course.

Along with the conventional methods of teaching LCD, PPT, Internet, C.D., Maps and Charts are used for making the teaching more effective. Study tours are organized to provide realistic knowledge to the students. Open discussion and feedback from the students provide further scope for up gradation.

In addition to classroom learning study tours, library, internet computers, seminars and guest lectures are the others means of learning available in the department. The language laboratory and soft skill development center are the other facility available in the college for independent learning of the student.

Padmashree Dr. Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil Started Pravara Rural Education Society started on 1st August 1964 at Pravaranagar & under the same institution Padmabhushan Balasaheb Vikhe Patil Started Arts, Commerce & Science College Alkuti on 4 Aug. 2004. The Department has two teachers and they are actively engaged in teaching, consultancy and research activities. The Department of Marathi at special level started in the college in 2005-06 in the same year students Sought Admissions for the same. The department library has reference Books & text books. The department library has 18 research journal & E-Book available.
